Christopher Anthony "Chris" Allen (born 18 November 1972 in Oxford) is an English former footballer.
Allen started his career with Oxford United in 1991 and made 179 appearances for them before being sold to Nottingham Forest for a £500,000 fee in 1996,[2] following an earlier loan spell.[3]
Whilst with Forest he had loan spells with Luton Town and Cardiff City, before moving on to Port Vale, and he later played for Stockport County and Slough Town.[3]
He signed for North Leigh in 2006[4] and played with them until 2010, before joining Oxford United as Youth Team Coach in July 2010.[2][5][6]
Earlier in his career, while still playing for Oxford, he was capped twice for England at under-21 level.[7]
